Why I changed my mind about Twitter

Since I stopped blogging I’ve really fallen in love with Twitter. Firstly, it was for the networking opportunities. In the business I’m in (photography & design), networking is one of the most essential ingredients to success: your contacts are the people you rely on to make things happen. Riptide

So I’ve been absent for a couple of weeks now but I finally have a steady Internet connection again. Here’s to hoping you didn’t miss me too much. 😉 Hopefully I’ll have my schedule up and running smoothly again within the next couple of days – back to the usual Sunday summaries/link-ups and Monday interviews, that is. As always, if you are interested in promoting your brand or product – be it you’re a writer, musician, actor, YouTuber, blogger, etc. – then you can always get in contact via deliriousantidotes@gmail.com or twitter (@d_antidotes).

As ever, link-ups are a great way to introduce yourself to the community, increase your follow count, and find new content and friends. If you want to participate, just scroll down to the rules in the bottom of this post. Continue reading Riptide

Run

“You can run,” It’s a man’s voice; cold and raspy. A bead of sweat runs between my shoulder blades, down my spine, as I listen intently for his next words. I half expect him to reel off the cliched sentence, but I know he’s too original to surrender to such tormented platitude. “But there is no finish line.”

— Fictional response to the title of this post.–

There will be a scarce number of posts on this blog over the next couple of weeks because I won’t have internet connection. That means there won’t be any Sunday link-ups for at least two weeks but you can still participate in prior ones by checking them out here. Regardless, I’m going to try and schedule as many other posts as possible. I’ve got a few posts planned – and one of them is incredibly controversial (hint: it’s about this).

As ever, link-ups are a great way to introduce yourself to the community, increase your follow count, and find new content and friends. If you want to participate, just scroll down to the rules in the bottom of this post.

Anymore

Your eyes were cold alas I still felt your warmth. Your confessions were so dark they burned through my skin alas I still didn’t break. Your mind was twisted alas I still stood my ground, not tangled within your branches – or, maybe I was too tangled to realise. But now secrets spill from your tainted hands and your tongue is a serpent, stringing metaphors around my throat and choking me; and I don’t trust you anymore.

We Used to Dream

I have spent the last week with a group of strangers the same age as me and I can say that they are probably the nicest group of people I have ever had the pleasure of coming across. This weekend I have a lot to reflect on before I spend another two weeks with the group, but it’s not in terms of the blogosphere, for a change. Alas, you can be rest assured that I am still here with this weeks link-up to reflect on the posts and music I’ve loved this week.

Do You Love Me?

This past week has been busy for me, with our end of school celebrations and such, and I’m afraid the next few weeks will be busy too – and without much Internet connection, except for on the weekends. Because of this, it means I haven’t been able to post very frequently. This isn’t such a bad thing, though, because it means that the posts I have managed to publish have been of a higher quality.

Sunday is my day for reflection, in terms of the blogosphere, and this week has seen some pretty explosive events on the Internet. The main being that same-sex marriage is now legal in all 50 states of the United States of America.

On that note, here is the featured post from Delirious Antidotes this week. I guess you could say that this week we have a theme of love.

A reminder that, of course, this is a link-up which is a great way to introduce yourself within the community, make friends (and followers), share your own work or other’s work and interact, among other things, so the link-up also acts as a host for your finds of this week. Read on for the rules on how to share.

A really wonderful post tackling homophobia. You should definitely check it out. Whilst you’re there, check out the rest of Currently Streaming, too.

Featured Track

A few weeks back, I got the privilege of interviewing the upcoming singer/songwriter Luke Potter. This week, he released a brand new track available to purchase on iTunes:

Trouble I’m In

I haven’t had opportunity much to post over this weekend but, as ever, I’m here with this week’s link-up.

I’m going to feature my favourite post that I’ve posted this weekalongside my favourite post that someone else have posted this week and, of course, my favourite song of the past week. In previous weeks, I have featured multiple posts and songs, and you can find those posts here, here and here.

Of course, link-ups are a great way to introduce yourself within the community, make friends (and followers), share your own work or other’s work and interact, among other things, so the link-up also acts as a host for your finds of this week. Read on for the rules on how to share.
