We Are Insignificant

We are insignificant; a drop in a sea of people. A sea of approximately seven billion people, to be more precise. This occurs to be every now and then, in strange and bizarre moments. As I read the comment section of The Daily Post and notice how many other blogs there are, this concept is evident. My blog is lost in this vast array of other blogs – some very different to mine, some much more exciting than mine, and some very similar but just a lot better written than mine; essentially, my “competition”.

We are significant; in people’s lives, we matter. Your being affects the lives of other people. Perhaps not in a egotistical manner in which your peers worship your being, but everything you do affects the lives of your friends and family and people you know, and so their actions affect the lives of their acquaintances too. It’s like a domino affect, and when you really this it makes it apparent that, in fact, you have an affect on people’s lives who you’ve met – however minute; it becomes apparent that you are significant in more ways than you might think.

  1. Totally. I may not be 600+ flush on my blog but people read it, people comment and I’m apart of a community. It’s a wonderful thing 🙂
